Yep

Just wanted to give an update on a couple of things:

OAKROT (Portland, OR) will be playing at the Spring Street Firehouse with Veloz, Dolarhyde and Legion on Thursday, Oct. 21st. Thanks to the folks at the Firehouse for adding him!

The Barker/Jacks/Sizemore trio (aka, DROVES) keep their promise to disappoint the masses by playing zero shows and not finishing their recordings. Lance Hayes (Death or El Dona/Cearo) has been offering his signature guitar licks to the band for a couple of weeks now, and things are moving along at a good pace.

We'll have another update soon for an upcoming DVD release.

Love,
Darryl

Please wait while we put you on HOLD

The Barker/Jacks/Sizemore Trio failed to play their first show that was supposed to take place tonight at BottleTree for the Tina Pilgrim Benefit. Jason Barker is currently on tour with and providing his bass chops for Terrible Things (ex-members of Taking Back Sunday, Hotrod Circuit and Coheed & Cambria). We'll see him back here on April 12th. Hopefully, we can finish our recordings and play a show for you soon.

Darryl

Musician's Friends & Oak Rot

The Barker/Sizemore/Jacks Trio recorded with Matt Whitson over the cold-ass weekend of February 6th at Magic City Wholesale. In all, three proper jams were recorded on the best digital technology Matt can afford. We plan to record vocals and Brad Davis' buttery Moog trax SOON. We'll post here as soon as we're done.

Other news: one of our friends from Portland, OR started a new one-man music project called OAK ROT. Facebook = OAK ROT and you can go here for a dark, mysterious MP3.

Love,
Darryl

Anti-fail

Well, the pessimist in me is being proved wrong in 2010! Jason Barker, Patrick Sizemore & myself are going to record 4 tracks (3 originals and one cover) with Matt Whitson during the weekend of February 6th at an undisclosed location. We're interested to hear folks' feedback, as it doesn't really sound like any of our previous failures. We're not entirely sure if it will be an official Bent Rail release. If it isn't, we'll post the mp3s here. Hopefully, a show will follow shortly thereafter, but don't count on it.

Love,
Darryl
