What is the Bent Rail Foundation?
Bent is a record label based in Birmingham, AL which is run by musicians with the sole purpose of releasing good music that we believe in regardless of its style or fashion. Our initial mission was to provide an outlet for bands that we thought would not be given a chance to release their music without us, but we are starting to expand beyond that goal as Bent Rail Foundation grows.
Will you put out my record?
Send us a demo and we'll see. We have only put out bands we know so far, but if it is good enough we're interested in putting out anything. We love to hear new music - good or bad.
Will you advertise in my zine?
Send us a sample copy and we'll see. We're interested in advertising in zines that appreciate the music we put out. If you're interested in covering our releases, we're interested in advertising with you.
Why can't I find your releases in my favorite record store?
We are very small and still working on getting better national distribution. Please help us out by letting your store know about our label and that you are interested in our releases
So where can I get them?
Our releases are currently available through Insound, Very, Stickfigure, Southern, Ebullition, Choke, Interpunk, and most importantly through our website. We also gladly accept order by mail. All our prices are PPD and listed on the order online page - please make checks out to Bent Rail Foundation.
